Our Patio Portfolio.
This was one of the most biggest transformations I have ever done. I’m very proud of this one as it’s absolutely beautiful in real life as these photos just don’t do it justice at all! It won a completion on the best patio of the year 2018. This patio with curved walls and curved steps used over 160 bags of cement. I built it fully on a cement base that was over 4 inches thick to bring it up in height, with a full rebar base layer and an extra heavy duty membrane layer to stop any future weeds coming through. The slabs were specially ordered from Ireland and were 3 inches thick. This to date was one of the most time consuming but one of my favorites' I have ever done.
I don’t do things by halves that’s for sure. |

We filled in the existing un used pond and laid the paving circle on top and turfed around it where we had to dig.
We also removed the retaining walls and replaced with oak sleepers to make a new retaining wall then last but not least I hand built the garden shed complete with a key lock. We removed all of the existing paving and retaining walls. Then dug back an extra 3ft to make the patio area wider.
The retaining walls are built from treated sleepers and then we paved the whole area with grey Indian sandstone. |
We have finally finished this grey Indian sandstone patio in Boston with an inter locking circle design.
We started by building a new fence and painted it light grey. Then we built an end patio area with grey sandstone, this area is a sun trap so will be perfect for a garden table and chairs set.
In the middle section we built 2 triangle patio areas with stepping stones in the middle surrounded by Cotswold stones, then last but not least we removed the old decking and built a new decking area. The steps were widened and re built with new frame work and boards then painted anthracite grey |
The paving is a grey Indian sandstone with granite sets as the border.
All of the curved paving has been cut by free hand by my self and I’m very very happy with the finished result as is my customer. |
All grey Indian sandstone paving and 2 steps with grey bricks.

We transformed this front garden for a returning customer.
To start we had to dig down by just under 3ft to get this garden level which as you can see from the photos resulted in 2 grab lots due to the amount of soil.
The patio is a grey sandstone which has really made the area more low maintenance aswell as making it looking bigger. The finishing touches are the counter sunk lights around the grass area which gives it an even more modern feel. |
We completely scraped the garden out and started again. We built this large garden pub with side storage room then paved the rest with this beautiful grey sandstone.
I think the center water feature is just the cherry on the cake and really gives it such a modern feel. |
I really wish I could have got a photo of this paving when it was wet as it’s all reds, purples and flashes of yellows but the grouting wasn’t set. I’ve added a photo of them when they are wet, they look absolutely amazing!
Do not be fooled by this seemingly innocent patio! it has taken just over 26 tons of crushed concrete for the centre which had to be taken in barrow by barrow load (my back can contest to that lol)
It’s been an absolute pleasure to work for these customers and it was a special job that I have worked very hard on just to get completed in time for this couple so they can now relax and enjoy it. |
Stop what you are doing!!! .......and just take a look at Oscar with his new bespoke made stair case
Oh and not to forget what we originally came here to do, this beautiful grey sandstone patio and this lovely contemporary fencing for a lovely couple. |
How beautiful does this black Brazilian slate patio look with sleeper retaining wall.
We had to remove the previous patio that had only been done in the last few months by another company so we’ve come along and re done the lot right. |
The front and side walls were crumbling and had fallen down in some places so they were completely removed then I re built the with this beautiful red brick and added the pillar caps which I think really suits them.
The checker board pathway really stands out against the black slate paving and carries the diamond design through to the door. |
This was a very special job. I have worked for these customers before and have always enjoyed working for them. But on this occasion when I went to quote this patio I was told that unfortunately the gentleman had passed away. So I wanted to make an extra special job of this one for his wife so she can come out here and enjoy the garden, especially in the spring time.
All the old paving had to be removed and we replaced it with this beautiful grey Indian sandstone paving.
I absolutely LOVE!! How this one has turned out. The color of the paving, the curved retaining walls, the circle upper patio area and the patio boarder
I also built the shed by hand. |
These photos really do speak for them selves.
We had to dig down and remove ALOT of soil to get this garden to a smooth level with a slight elevation to the annex. We had to remove all of the shrubs and brambles (that was not a fun part ) then we laid this beautiful grey sandstone paving with a curved design to frame the new turf we have laid. We also built these raised sleeper beds. |
We completed this through the 3 recent storms and even though Dudley, Eunice and Franklin tried to stop us, they didn’t!
I’m over the moon with how this patio has turned out as is my customer. |
We have turned this one around in 3 days so we can now let our customers enjoy the spring & summer on their new patio.
The end result has made this garden look so much bigger and is now ready for this lady and her family to enjoy this spring and summer!
We done a curve Indian sand stone patio with a blue brick step and a patio at the back of the garden.
Indian sand stone path with a light grey grouting.
We completely removed everything from this garden to start with a completely blank canvas. We then replaced the panels to some close board premium panels which has made the garden look brighter. The 2 patios are built with grey Indian sandstone with decorative edging then flower beds to the sides. The artificial grass is a very thick premium grass which feels like soft carpet with thick underlay when you walk on it then I laid sandstone to one side to make stepping stones.

A curved Indian sandstone pathway with granite sets
This looks amazing! Especially in the evening with all the lights. |
So here is the finished double patio and steps
It was very awkward to get the photos for this patio but the outcome really does look great. |
This is a grey Indian sandstone patio that’s just been completed.
At the beginning of this year I had built the retaining walls and steps which made such a big difference. Then this week we went back to pave the area, steps and render the wall the finished job now looks amazing and is ready for summer!
How beautiful is this paving colour variation!
It’s been an absolute pleasure working for this couple and we’ve really enjoyed it. |
The patio has been paved with this grey Indian sandstone which always looks amazing and has really made this garden look so much bigger.

A grey Indian sandstone front mini court yard for my 2 very special customers, Mr & Mrs schnitzel von crum. (If you read the Hairy Maclary books as a child then you know )
This has really transformed the front of this property and it looks great! We completed a similar job for their neighbor last week but with block paving |
Grey Indian sandstone patio and pathway with partial granite sets boarders. My customer has said he wants to shingle the areas that surround the pathway which will look really great when done.
We replaced the fencing on the left hand side and along the back with concrete posts and concrete gravel boards then these close boarded panels that are hand made by my self
There are 3 patios in this garden now and a pathway that connects them. In total we laid 65 square meters of this beautiful Indian sandstone. |
So far for this family I have completed this patio then this ladies sister and nieces patios I think that speaks volumes for my company
This patio has raised sleeper beds with lights. The patio it’s self is a natural grey slab with dark grey grouting. |
So this is the garden transformation. The whole garden was scraped out to re start with a blank canvas. We than paved the alley ways and built 2 patios. In total this is just under 100 m2 of grey Indian sandstone
We built the patio we then laid the artificial grass and then built the fencing all the way around plus a new gate built and fitted.
This was at a new build estate and the way the builders laid this patio is completely different to how I do them. That’s why you’ll see the pattern is different to my usual Indian sandstone and the jointing compound doesn’t look the same but I done my best to match it and extend the patio and add a new manhole.
Beautiful Indian sandstone patio.
Fortunately our first day of this Indian sandstone patio it was lovely but these last 2 days we’ve been working in the rain but it’s been worth it
Also not to worry about the grass as this customers plan is to re do their whole garden and the first part is the patio. |
A patio and drive we done in Boston.
We laid this paving which is made to look like drift wood! I then installed these posts and added a rope barrier.
The first was for a really lovely lady, we built a pergola and laid this grey Indian sandstone pathway and patio.
